For todays lighting related task, Sir brought his lights again but this time he brought the entire studio lighting set up. He brought it packed and instructed us to figure out how to put it together.
After a few struggles, we were able to assemble it and plugged it to the electricity. Then I was asked to be the model for everyone.
Here are the pictures that my classmates took off me. It was a challenge for me as well as the camera-holders as our positioning had to be perfect to grasp the meaning we wanted to be portrayed. In a few of the pictures, I had impersonated the style of photography that is usually in Pakistani wedding albums. Posing with hands and looking away from the camera is a common feature of this type of photography style.
As for our Advanced Portfolio, we had roughly divided our roles for the project. My assigned role was the Creative Director, where I'd be in charge of the mis-én-scene and the styling of our actress. This activity helped me in learning what style would look good in which setting. This includes hairstyling, makeup and jewelry. This aspect made me grateful for this practice as being in the spotlight itself will help me understand how the unfamiliar actress will be in the same situation and in turn, be able to help her and give her advice in simple terms.
Here are a few non-serious pictures taken of me with the equipment as well as one of the entire set up.
