MV Shoot #3

 

[19/2/23]

Today was the day of the final shoot we needed for the music video. We were brimming with excitement since we really couldn't wait till the post-production process. The park was a really pretty one, a little far from our houses. We provided Aimen with transport as we promised, and all met up in McDonald's that was there, and Aimen changed into the clothes that we required her to wear for the shoot.  In the end, this was the outfit we decided for the third shoot:

Aimen herself chose to do her makeup in the bathroom so that it wouldn't wear out by the time we started shooting. 

This is where Aimen and us practice the first 360 degree clip that was one long clip of an entire chorus. However, we didn't like the background in this clip so we decided to move towards the overhead park which had brighter grass and less people.

After we were done with that, I wanted to take a few extra clips of Aimen doing actions like skipping or walking with her hand touching the wall. So I took the camera and instructed Aimen to act like a hopeless person who's just done with life. After those instructions, I came out with these clips : 

The sky was so pretty at that moment for us not to utilize it, which is why I instructed Aimen to act natural and look into the camera for moving filler shots. I made kind of a long shot so Yumna would be able to have more options and room to mix and match.

After we were done with the roof top, we decided to go shoot under the bridge walkway because the lights were insanely pretty and went really well with Aimens outfit.  I wanted a really good shot of the camera not being put in a static position so the video has a natural feel that makes it look like the audience is actually looking at her through their eyes, not through a camera. And I wanted the movement to match the song progression which then made us produce this clip which made it in the final cut : 

The next clip is an outtake since the music got paused due to a call so we had to take it again: 

Once we were finally done with the lyric clips we needed, we moved on to the photoshoot for the album cover, digipack and social media page. I was handed the camera since I had a visual idea of how much content we'd require and then here were the results : 

Yumna had taken the pictures below and I know they'd come in handy as well since Aimen really had her dejected look on and Yumna captured it really well. I feel like I'll need to keep them in mind when editing.

Once we had done all the photography that we thought was necessary, we finally wrapped the music video production up. We treated Aimen to food after that and then went home, eager to start the next phase.
